I just saw Spiderman 3 which was either a romantic comedy or an action film. I’m not sure. It got me thinking about what it would be like if you lived in a city where you regularly saw Spiderman swinging from building to building. Then I thought about all of those characters in the Bible who did amazing things. So here we are and I propose to you the top 5 superheroes from the Bible. Their comic book equivalents are:

The Apostle Paul is the central figure in the New Testament (not including Christ). There have even been some that suggest that Paul was more responsible for the expansion of Christianity than Jesus (though there is no Christianity to spread without Christ). In Genesis 12:2-3 God gives a blessing to Abraham and his descendants, whom we now know as the Jews. He promises to make them a great nation, to bless them and to make them a blessing to all the families of the earth. My question to you is, has that promised been carried out? Consider what the Jewish nation has done even though they make up less than 1/4 of 1% of the world’s population.

Of course death is a natural part of life so you wouldn’t be surprised to find it in the Bible.
