<description>Are you kidding? The Bible is so explicit about God's maleness, there can be no doubt about it. This is a joke. When one ceases to call God what He has revealed himself to be, one ceases to believe His word, and by extention ceases to be a Christian. It's not male chauvinism, it is simply the truth.

This is similar to being offended at the idea that Abe Lincoln was a male. You could say, "the writings about Abe have traditionally been interpreted to present him as male, but that's not nessesarily the case. Also, I don't like calling him the president. That seems to suggest authority."

Lu 6:36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
Lu 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Lu 12:30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
Lu 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Joh 8:38 ¶ I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
Joh 8:41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
Joh 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

These are a few out of hundreds. Not one verse refers to God as our heavenly mother. If you want to believe in female diety, find some other faith.
