The Bible is so explicit about God's maleness, there can be no doubt about it. This is a joke. When one ceases to call God what He has revealed himself to be, one ceases to believe His word, and by extention ceases to be a Christian. It's not male chauvinism, it is simply the truth. This is similar to being offended at the idea that Abe Lincoln was a male. You could say, "the writings about Abe have traditionally been interpreted to present him as male, but that's not nessesarily the case. Also, I don't like calling him the president.
